Apart from these two alloyants, the carbon steel hot rolled round bar 1015 also contain trace quantities of elements like aluminium, copper, nickel, molybdenum, and chromium. Carbon steel based 1015 Bearing steel rod could be used in applications which require low tensile strength along with good resistance to wear and hard surfaces. Per specification ASTM A29, the carbon based 1015 Steel Round Bar is to not only undergo a Heat and product analysis but the chemistry also needs to conform to its specification.

Furthermore, the material i.e. ASTM A29 1015 Round bar must not only undergo a grain size test but the bar needs to conform to the specified grain size requirement. The ASTM A29 specification also mentions that mechanical tests have to be performed on the aisi 1015 steel cold drawn bar test specimens. The sae 1015 material properties of this engineering carbon steek grade alloy include its superior workability and machinability. Welding of this grade 1015 Carbon Steel Rods could be carried out by using all normal fusion methods. One such method is using low-carbon electrodes, which are often preferred by users of the 1015 Round Bar. These sae 1015 rods are supplied in any one of the following condition i.e. – normalized, hot-rolled, cold-worked or annealed.
