Beryllium Copper Round Bar is made up of a material composition with 98.1% copper, aluminum, 2% beryllium, cobalt and silicon in it. High Temperature Fasteners Inc. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of the different types such as the UNS C17200 Beryllium Copper Rod and other grades. The material responds very nicely to precipitation hardening treatment methods. 

It has very high thermal conductivity which enables it for heat exchanger applications.  The CDA 172 Round Rods are also known for the resistance to stress relaxation. The material can operate at very high temperatures dues to high temperature heat treatment. The most uses of the JIS NW 4400 Hexagon Bars can be seen in the oilfield tools, robotic welding, aerospace landing gears and other very unique applications.

It is not very common to use in the general and day to day applications. The beryllium bar can be used as replacement for different types of materials if special strength and corrosion resistance are needed. Since the raw material is expensive, the rods are also expensive and are used only in very specific applications.
