Monel K500 Round Bar is made up of a nickel copper alloy that can be hardened through precipitation methods and has extreme corrosion resistance to acids, alkalis and oxidation. High Temperature Fasteners is a leading manufacturer and supplier of the Monel K500 Flat Bar and other types of bars in different dimensions, shapes and types. There are different grades of monel such as 400, 450, 500 and so on. Each of these grades has different chemical composition and a different combination of mechanical properties.
The Monel K500 Hex Bar is strong and is used in the production equipment for oil and gas, propellers, pump shafts and in centrifugal pump parts. The material has minimum yield strength of 690MPa and minimum tensile strength of 965MPa. These very high strength values allow the 2.4375 Alloy K500 Rod and other types to be used in high velocity fluid lines as they do not crack nor do they corrode under harsh conditions. We supply the products in large scales to a wide range of audience and therefore our ASTM B865 UNS N05500 Bar Stock is sufficient to cover any of your orders.
The dimensions of the bars range from 100mm to 3000mm and the diameters of different types range from 0.1mm to 100mm depending on the different standards. The different finishes such as black, bright and others help maintain the corrosion resistance. The use of the UNS N05500 Bright Bar type is seen mostly in the outdoor applications where the bars and rods are visible and create an aesthetic value.
