High Temperature Fasteners Inc. is a leading Duplex Round Bar manufacturer and supplier. The duplex round bars are made up of a material known for the ferritic and austenitic stainless steel qualities. The Duplex 2205 Round Bar is the most used of duplex steel categories. There are standard duplex, super duplex and lean duplex categories in the Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bar grades. The 2205 is a standard duplex steel and it is used for its corrosion resistance, strength and cost effectiveness.

The specifications are ASTM A276 and ASTM 479.  There are different dimensions to the ASTM A479 Duplex Rod based on different dimensions. The size ranges from 6mm to 120mm. The diameter ranges from 6mm to 350mm. The length of the ASTM A276 Type 2205 Duplex Rod ranges from 100mm to 6000mm. The finishes can range from black, bright, rough turned and matt finish. The material is made up of carbon, phosphorus, manganese, nitrogen, sulfur, silicon and 22% chromium, 4.5% nickel and 3% molybdenum in the composition.

There are different forms such as the Duplex 2205 Hex Bar, round bar, flat bar and square bars. The different shapes help serve in different application types. The square bar is used for strength and in structural applications. The Duplex Flat Bar is used for its low weight and it is useful for structural lattices. The corrosion resistance of the material with strength makes the bars to be used in petroleum, petrochemical, marine, power generation and in many other applications. General Characteristics Of Duplex Stainless Steel Round Bar
  • It is an extra Low Carbon Duplex Stainless steel,
  • PREN value 34 (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number: %Cr +3.3*%Mo+16*%N)
  • It has good weldabilitywith minimal inter-granular corrosion in as welded condition.
  • Its yield strength is nearly twice as that of the Austenitic Stainless Steels.
  • Exhibits high resistance to corrosion fatigue, pitting and crevice corrosion and erosion-corrosion.
  • It has high resistance to SCC in chloride and in hydrogen sulfide containing environments.
