There are Monel 400, 450, 500 and other grades based on the composition difference. These grades also have different mechanical properties. The Monel 400 Round Bar costs less than the other grades and is one of the most used monel grades. There are round, hex, square, rectangular and other types of bars that are used in different application types.

The Monel 400 Flat Bar and other bars have carbon, 28% copper, iron, 63% nickel, phosphorus, lead, sulfur, silicon and manganese in the composition. The lead content is limited to a maximum of 0.005%. The Monel 400 Hex Bar is used mostly for its high strength due to the shape and in structural applications. The material has 550MPa minimum tensile strength and 450MPa minimum yield strength. The 2.4068 Alloy 400 Rod has different dimensions according to the different ASME and ASTM standards.

The diameter of the round bars range from 0.1mm to 100mm for different types such as wires, bars and rods.
