Nickel 201 is a low carbon, commercially pure wrought alloy grade. Produced under specification ASTM B160, these components may be processed by means of either hot-working, cold-working, or annealing. Along with the chemical composition and mechanical properties, the ASTM B160 UNS N02201 Rod must conform to the values of a tension test, Chemical analysis, and hardness test.
The properties of this alloy are similar to that of nickel 200. However, because the content of carbon is lower in the alloy of Nickel 201 Round Bar, it is not susceptible to embrittlement brought on by inter-granular carbon at elevated temperatures. The higher content of nickel in the alloy makes these components resistant to several chemicals including acids and alkalis, as well as to dry gases at ambient temperature. The significance of nickel in the Nickel Alloy 201 Square bar is also responsible for the material’s resistance to mineral acids.
