Xm 19 Rod, Nitronic Alloy 50 / XM-19 Flat, Bright and Cold Finished Bars Suppliers in China.
Nitronic 50 Ingots & Billets, UNS S20910 hex/ Square/ /threaded bar Manufacturers.
With a yield strength of almost 2 times more than the 300’s series, Nitronic 50 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy. Its crystalline structure is formed by the addition of three main stabilizing elements i.e. – nitrogen, manganese and nickel. Hence, the Nitronic Alloy 50 Round Bar is classified as an austenitic stainless steel grade. Many manufacturers refer to this nitrogen stabilized alloy as a superalloy or a high performance alloy because it exhibits properties that are far more promising than either grade 316 or grade 317.
Perhaps, the most valued virtue of the Xm 19 Rod is the fact that it combats sulfide stress related corrosion cracking. The environment in sour wells often contains hydrogen sulfide, which in a wet state is detrimental to several regular steel alloys. In a high temperature, high pressure surface, Hydrogen sulfide undergoes some form of hydrolysis to form free hydrogen, which gets deposited on the walls of bars. Some of the free hydrogen molecules enter the matrix of the alloy forming compounds like methane. The newly formed methane plus high pressure and temperature causes conventional steel to crack.
The highly alloyed chemistry of UNS S20910 Hex bar does not permit the free hydrogen to get attached to its microstructure Unlike regular steel however, the Nitronic 50 Square bar resists becoming susceptible to this attack, which is probably why this alloy is listed in the NACE MR 0175. At elevated and at cryogenic temperature settings, the XM-19 Flat bar demonstrates properties like good mechanical strength, good toughness and ductility, all of which are characteristics of austenitic stainless steel alloys.
