This is because an A4 Stainless Steel Threaded Bar is well equipped to deal with stressors such as elevated temperature, resistance to oxidation etc as compared to grade 304. The addition of molybdenum in 316 stainless steel metric threaded rod is what improves the resistance of the alloy to general corrosion.
