SS 304 Hex bolts or hex cap screws, are large bolts which have a six-sided head. The head of these bolts resembles a hexagon. Hence, they are termed as hex bolts by stainless steel hex bolt manufacturer.

Typically, Stainless Steel Hex Bolts and Nuts are used to fasten materials such as wood, or metal. However, depending on the kind of application it is to be used for, different alloy grades are used in the manufacturer of these Stainless Steel Hex Head Shoulder Bolts. For instance, if properties like high resistance to creep and heat resistance are prime features required by any application, the alloy used will be grade 310. Austenitic grade 310 SS Hex Bolts have been developed for use in elevated temperature since the alloy has the ability to resist oxidation up to a temperature of 2010 F under mildly cyclic conditions. On the other hand, industrial sectors such as Pharma and the food industry have a need for non-toxic, corrosion resistant alloy which is grade 316.

Although grade 304 Black Stainless Steel Hex Bolts are moderately resistant to corrosion, these fasteners are often coated with either black paint or an anti-rust oil. Furthermore, Stainless Steel High Tensile Hex Bolts could be treated to a hot dip galvanization, where the alloy is coated with a thick layer of zinc. A zinc coating applied on the Stainless Steel Flanged Hex Bolts through galvanization is much more effective as compared to a regular electroplating process.
