A coach bolt or as also known as a carriage bolt has a round head along with a squared neck construction. Typically these bolts are associated with fastening either metal to metal set up or metal to wood set-up. Though the production of these bolts, like the other variation, could be done using ductile materials like copper, alloy steel, nickel, aluminum, etc, stainless steel ranks amongst the best and the most widely used ones. The head of Stainless Steel Coach Bolts usually is a shallow dome, whereas the shank will be produced devoid of any threads. Moreover, the diameter of the shank will be identical to the side of the square cross-section of the said bolt. The M6 SS Carriage Bolts were created to be driven through an iron strengthening plate on both the sides of a wooden beam, wherein the squared part of the fastener was to fit into a square-shaped aperture in the ironwork.
