Stainless Steel 420 Round Bar is made up of a martensitic stainless steel with high yield strength of up to 1365MPa at 316 degrees Celsius and up to 1620MPa minimum tensile strength at 427 degrees Celsius. The standard values are 495MPa for yield and 700MPa for tensile strength. High Temperature Fasteners Inc. is a leading manufacturer of the SS 420 Rod and bars in different shapes, sizes and dimensions. The material has carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, 11.5% chromium and nickel in the composition. There are different specifications, types and finishes such as the ASTM A276 type 420 Bright Round bars.

The finishes can be bright, polished or black. The size ranges from 3mm to 350mm. The form of the round, square, hex, rectangular, wire, ingot, forging, wire mesh, billet and more. The UNS S42000 AISI 420 Black Bar can be used without polishing in general corrosive applications because the material is corrosion resistant. The martensitic steel grades have very high wear and tear resistance. The ASTM A479 Stainless Steel 420 Hex Bar has 1 to 6m length and custom cut to length sizes. The different bars have different sizes. The hex bars have 18mm t o57mm thickness alike the Stainless Steel 420 Square Bar.

The round bars, bright bars and the 420 Stainless Steel Flat Bar types have sizes ranging from 4mm to 100mm. There are hot rolled and cold drawn types of bars. The bars are used in construction, ship building, building of bridges, engineering applications and more. The SS 420 Cold Drawn Round Bar is the most used type of bar in this grade.
