422 Stainless Steel Round Bar is a high temperature material that is hardenable. The material has carbon, manganese, silicon, molybdenum, 11.5% chromium, nickel and tungsten in the composition. The material has high service temperatures and the operating temperature can be limited by the atmosphere and conditions. The UNS S42200 Flat Bar comes under the specification ASTM A479 which covers the hot rolled, cold rolled, hot forged, rolled and machined bars. There are diameters ranging from 4mm to 500mm, and the lengths range from 2m to 7.5m and custom cut to length sizes.
The DIN 1.4742 Square Bar is used in construction and in high strength applications with high corrosion resistance.
