15-5ph Stainless Steel Round Bar is a variation of the 17-4 chromium nickel copper precipitation hardening steel type. This type of stainless steel alloy has high strength and good corrosion resistance. The reduced delta ferrite makes sure that the toughness is increased. There are different conditions to the different bars such as H900, H1025, H1075 and others. Each of these has different yield and tensile strengths. The yield strengths range from 75ksi to 170ksi and the minimum tensile strength of the DIN 1.4545 Hex Bars ranges from 115ksi to 190ksi depending on the different conditions.

The applications include boat shafts, flat bars, pump shafts, pump parts, gears valves and other tough components. The chemical composition includes carbon, chromium, columbium, tantalum, copper, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur.
