Grade 13-8Mo belongs to the martensitic class of stainless steels. This alloy grade is resistant to acidic solutions. Martensitic in structure, the 13-8 Mo DIN 1.4548 Threaded Bar is subjected to precipitation hardening and aging processes. Hence, the stainless steel demonstrates excellent mechanical properties. Along with having high hardness, high mechanical strength, the SS 13-8 MO Square Bars exhibit relatively higher resistance to corrosion.
Further, the alloy has good resistance to stress related corrosion cracking as well, which is why in the alloy functions well in hydrocarbon based industries like the petrochemical industry.
